“She Is the Moment: A Story of Sisterhood, Purpose, and Power This Women’s History Month”

March 2025 unfolded like a living, breathing love letter to womanhood.

It wasn’t just a month—it was a movement. A mosaic of voices, stories, and sacred spaces where purpose met passion and women showed up, not just for themselves, but for each other. This wasn’t my story—it was ours.  And the real stars? The brilliant women who turned every moment into a milestone.

It all began with a whisper of destiny that led to the East Bay Women’s Conference 20th Anniversary—an event I hadn’t planned to attend, but somehow, was meant to be in. The energy was electric, the room humming with legacy and leadership. Quinn Conyers, a force of nature behind the mic, held the room with her dynamic emceeing, infusing every moment with purpose and power. And then came Allison Massari, the keynote speaker whose storytelling stirred something deep within us all. She urged us to “Be The One”—to recognize the greatness in others, to be a mirror reflecting brilliance back to the women beside us. That single message became a theme that threaded through the rest of the month.

Then came the unexpected honor—an unscripted WO3 Spotlight nomination, graciously submitted by Tiffany James, a woman whose support and belief in other women is unwavering. That recognition turned into a divine collaboration. WO3 is more than a movement—it’s a call to partner, promote, and support women-owned businesses. On WO3 Day, March 29th, the energy was tangible as women everywhere stood together in solidarity. I leaned all the way in—spotlighting incredible local businesses like Chauteau and Cupcakin’ in Walnut Creek, CA; giving shoutouts; and making heartfelt referrals.

Even more inspiring was meeting the founder of WO3, the extraordinary Tammi Relyea—a visionary with heart, intention, and bold purpose. Her mission is as magnetic as her spirit, and the alignment of values felt like a homecoming. WO3 reminded us that when women connect around a shared purpose, we build something unstoppable.

But the heartbeat of the month? That pulsed strongest on March 15th, when one of my Brilliance Partners, Pastor Carol Mayfield, launched The Joy Project. Watching her walk in her divine assignment—serving Oakland through financial literacy and empowerment—was nothing short of transformative. The room overflowed with love, support, and shared belief. Friends and family gathered to witness what happens when vision meets obedience. That launch reminded me: that when one woman answers the call, we all rise.

That same day, I was invited to speak at a new faith-filled women’s Bible study--Growing In the Spirit. The nerves were real—sitting in front of unfamiliar faces with a heart full of truth. But as I exhaled, I realized authenticity always finds a home. The women welcomed me with open arms and open hearts. It was sacred ground—proof that no matter how different our paths, our spirits recognize each other.

And just when I thought the month had given me all it could, I boarded a plane to Atlanta for The REAL Conference, hosted by Taffi Dollar and Radical Women’s Ministry. Picture this: women from every corner, coming together to pursue purpose, walk in truth, and get real about life, love, leadership, and legacy.

Meeting my online sisters, Tangie and Dana, for the first time in person was like finding family. For months, we’d connected virtually, sharing dreams and cheering each other on. Now, standing shoulder to shoulder, the bond was unbreakable.

The sessions were nothing short of divine downloads—Pastors Taffi and Creflo Dollar’s honest reflection on love and their 40+ year journey through marriage had us all leaning in. There were powerful panels on financial literacy, generational wealth, taking control of our health, and finding your Kingdom Tribe. Dr. Caroline Leaf’s talk on the mind reminded us just how powerful our thoughts are in shaping our reality.

Every moment built upon the next. Every voice echoed the same truth: We are not alone. We are seen. We are called. And we are ready.

March 2025 was more than Women’s History Month. It was a declaration. A divine unfolding. A reminder that the legacy we’re writing is happening right now, in conference rooms and cupcake shops, in Bible studies and boardrooms.

And the women?

They were the movement. The message. The moment.
